Churchfurniture.com.au is a division of Reed Furniture and has been supplying furniture for churches in Australia and the region for nearly 50 years.
Many older churches and church furniture were built in a time when the only material available for construction and furnishings was timber and this has created a legacy of a particular look and feel within many traditional churches; austere, somewhat dark and in some cases, forbidding to the newcomer.
More recent buildings have accentuated light and brighter colours creating a more accessible and comfortable ambience. Modern church furniture reflects that change in style and emphasis. More modern furnishings welcome members of the congregation and are congruous with the levels of comfort found in homes and other public buildings.
Furthermore modern church furniture creates flexibility and opportunities to reconfigure space without being locked in to banks of fixed seating.
